Kris Bennett attended homecoming week as an alumni panelist speaker, but also to show her latest production. Since graduation it seems Bennett has accomplished a lot. She is currently working at Z93 jams where she loves her she stated, "I love my job behind that microphone and look however I want" intriguing the audience to laugh.
Bennett is no stranger to the camera while attending South Carolina State University she started up a YouTube series Bulldog Bites. Where she interviews students about many topics to get another students perspective. She doesn't stop their she also has multiple interviews with some of the most hottest celebrities. Local and worldwide Kris definitely knows how to pay her dues when it comes to supporting the music media side if things. On her YouTube page she also shows a more personal side showing her love for friends and the city of Charleston. One of my favorite interviews by Bennett is the with the rapper JV straight out of Charleston. She allows the interviewed to be themselves without any field of judgment.
In the film Ralph and Sid : The Peninsula Story she dug deep into two basketball players stories on how they changed the game. No stranger to basketball being that her mom played here at SCSU. Bennett went to Ralph + Sid's family and friends wanting to know about how their love for sports came about and what made them so dedicated. Many people elaborated on the joy both athletes bought to the court bringing recruiters, news reporters, and members of the city all out to these high school games.
However Bennett shared with the crowd that this her first film that she fully produced and was behind. She says her next project will most likely be a documentary on her loving mother. Bennett states, "I knew her before I knew she was a basketball star." Her mom brightened up with joy so proud and gave a speech as well.
Overall I can tell you this Kris Bennett has no plans in stopping ! She also explained she is exciting to meet many more celebrities. Also very joyous of her future in radio where she encouraged us students to get out their and get some internships. I say congrats to you Kris and I cant wait to meet you in the crossing paths of the radio world.
